3 TIPS TO COMBAT ANXIETY

Updated: Sep 15, 2020

1. Understand that feelings are not facts. They can leave as quickly as they came. Call out what you’re feeling so you can learn to move through it.

2. Cope Ahead. Make a plan for your day and including the specifics of how you plan to tackle your tasks. This will decrease on-the-spot decision making, and give you a better sense of agency. Anxiety clings to chaos.

3. Exercise. Exercise releases endorphins, which are often called “the happiness hormone”. You will likely feel an increase in your mood and will have used the second skill of distraction to help cope with anxious feelings at the moment, giving them time and space to subside.

Comment below if you try one of these things and if it worked for you!
